This Photo features the 1955-58 Series III Metropolitan classic car hood ornament, "Flying Lady". The "Flying Lady" is a woman with her arms crossed so that they form a wing shape in the wind. While the Series III Metropolitan was only around for a couple of years, it was described as "pure automotive whimsy."
